Cynthia A. Spinola is a founding partner of Hashim and Spinola where, for more than 30 years, she has focused her practice on representing seriously injured persons. Attorney Spinola handles complex litigation cases involving catastrophic and life-changing injuries arising from automobile accidents; construction site accidents; fall down accidents; medical negligence; and workplace injuries.  These incidents have resulted in wrongful death; catastrophic and disfiguring injuries; permanent back and neck injuries; permanent foot, ankle, hand, shoulder and arm injuries and amputations; traumatic brain injuries; and strokes.  

Attorney Spinola has extensive civil trial experience, having successfully tried numerous jury cases to verdict.  She has successfully represented employees at various stages of litigation through the appeals process at the Department of Industrial Accidents.  For decades, she has successfully represented disabled persons in their claims for disability benefits before the Social Security Administration. Attorney Spinola represents individuals in their claims for accidental  disability retirement before the Public Employees Retirement Board, Division of Administrative Law Appeals, and the Contributory Retirement Appellate Board.

    Attorney Spinola litigates in all courts of the Commonwealth, including the Superior Courts, District Courts, Housing Courts in Berkshire County and other counties. In addition to appearing in all trial courts and administrative agencies in the Commonwealth, Attorney Spinola has successfully argued before the Supreme Judicial Court and the Appeals Court. She has successfully litigated cases in the federal court system including the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, U.S. Bankruptcy Court, and the U.S. Bankruptcy Appellate Panel. She represents clients before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.

    Attorney Spinola appears frequently before the Massachusetts Department of Industrial Accidents and the Social Security Administration. She practices before the Public Employees Retirement Board, the Division of Administrative Law Appeals and the Contributory Retirement Appeal Board.

    Attorney Spinola is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association, Berkshire Bar Association, Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys, National Trial Lawyers Association, American Association for Justice, and National Organization of Social Security Claims Representatives (NOSSCR). She has been awarded the designation as being one of the Top 100 Trial Lawyers in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts by the prestigious National Trial Lawyers Association.

    She is the Co-Chair and past-president of the Boys and Girls Club of the Berkshires where she has served on the Board of Directors for 35 years. She chairs the Board Governance and Development Committee as well as the Insurance and Legal Committee. She is the recipient of the Berkshire Bar Association Community Service Award. She is the past chair of the Berkshire County United Way Fund Drive Campaign.
